Professional Experience

Clinical Philosophy

"Not pulling — repositioning. Returning tissue to the place it originally belonged."

Dr. Kim Seungsoo's operating principle is straightforward: tissue that has descended with age — or been displaced by earlier surgery — should be returned to its original anatomical position, not simply pulled tighter. His multi-layer dissection technique shifts closing tension away from the skin incision and into the SMAS and deeper layers, minimizing the burden placed on the scar. It is an approach grounded in the leading international literature (Mendelson 2008, Jacono 2014, Gunter Dallas) and applied in daily clinical practice.

Single-Surgeon System

At AVA Plastic Surgery, every operation is performed by Dr. Kim Seungsoo himself — from first incision to final suture. The surgeon you meet in consultation is the same one who plans your procedure, performs it, and manages your recovery — so nothing about your case is lost in a handoff. And no patient's surgery is scheduled to begin until the one before it is finished. A zero ghost-surgery policy.
